The Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme is a financial initiative which has been created by the government in an effort to get the banks lending again to national as well a local West Midlands based businesses.
As another route to help businesses gain access to finance the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme was created and set up to actively support up to £1.3bn of new lending to those small businesses which are economically viable and in the need some funding help.
This particular funding scheme is open to businesses with an annual turnover of no more that £25M and who are seeking business loans of between £1,000 and £1m.
Although in effect the cash for this type of business loan would come direct from the bank, its helped by the fact that the government undertakes to underwrite 75% of the loan, this effectively means that even if the business which is seeking the funding doesn’t have the security itself to back the loan the business still has an opportunity of raising debt finance.
