Central Finance, a firm of Alternative Business Finance experts, is expanding its services into the Black Country in a bid to support local enterprises.

Already having offices in Birmingham and London, Central Finance has recently recruited James Coldicott as new Business Development Manager who is going to head the company’s new offices in Oldbury. With an extensive background in commercial finance, James, 38, is also bringing a wealth of new contacts to the firm.

Commenting on the company’s expansion, Central Finance’s Managing Director Alison Bradley says, “Our message is clear: there is finance available to SMEs, but with so many alternatives to traditional banks, business owners need guidance on how to access this finance. At Central Finance, our job is to find and obtain these alternative ways of finance.

We constantly keep up to date with what is new and how it can benefit our clients. In the last 3 years we have assisted many businesses in the Black Country, so it was a logical step to open offices in that area and with James on board now, we are finally able to expand our offering.”

Established in 2010, Central Finance is now in its third year and has enjoyed many successes so far, including receiving an accolade in 2012 for helping businesses in the West Midlands region to raise a total of over £30 million. Last year, Central Finance was also one of only two companies selected from over 200 firms to be an Ambassador company for Funding Circle, the UK’s largest Peer to Peer lender.

Steve Harris, Director at Central Finance, says, “Alternative forms of finance such as ‘peer to peer’ finance are growing rapidly. But with many other companies following in Funding Circles’ footsteps it can be hard for business owners to keep up with what is out there.

We pride ourselves in being particularly knowledgeable on sources of alternative finance and how to access that finance. We look forward to working with even more businesses in the Black Country now that we have our new offices in Oldbury.”
